With a population of 667,000, Frankfurt is the fifth largest city of Germany. Frankfurt am Main or simply Frankfurt is in the State of Hesse and it is different from another smaller city with the same name, which is the State of Brandenburg. Frankfurt is the Germany's second most expensive city and ranks in the top ten most livable cities in the world. Frankfurt is the seat of several important educational and cultural institutes, botanical gardens, museums and a significantly large numbers of skyscrapers (buildings taller than 150 meters).
