Facts About East and West Germany

Germany or federal Republic of Germany as you know today was divided into two separate two nations East Germany and West Germany after World War II in 1949 and the demarcation was along the line of Allied Occupation. However, in 1990, both the nations East Germany (earlier known as German Democratic Republic - GDR) and West Germany were unified again into one Nation.
