Germany is officially known as Federal Republic of Germany. and it follows political system of Federal Parliamentary Republic. The official language of Germany is German and the largest city and capital of Germany is Berlin. Germany is member of European Union and has Euro currency. Todays Germany holds a key position not only in the Europe but also globally in the economics and political affairs. Germany shares borders with more countries in the Europe than any other country.





Neighbors of Germany include nations like Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland and Czech Republic. For administration, Germany is divided into 16 states that are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Major states include Bavaria, Berlin, Hamburg, Brandenburg, North Rhine, and Saxony, among others. Major cities of Germany include Munich, Dresden, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Hanover and Kiel, to name the few. Germany is well known for its large number of zoological parks and national parks containing numerous species of plants, flora and fauna.

Federal Republic of Germany or simply Germany is a country in the Central Europe bordered by North Sea, Denmark and the Baltic Sea in the north; Poland and Czech Republic in the east; Austria and Switzerland in the south; and France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Netherlands in the west. With a population of 81.8 million people, Germany is the most populous states in the entire European Region. Currency of Germany is Euro and it follows time zone of UTC + 1 in winter and UTC + 2 in summer.



Government of Germany is Federal Parliamentary Republic. Germany is known all throughout the world history because of Hitler and the World War II. Post WWII, Germany was divided into East and West Germany in 1949. However, in the year 1990, East and West Germany were again unified into one Germany. It is the member of UN, OECD, WTO, G8, G20, and NATO. West Germany is the founder member of European Community, which later on became European Union. Germany is one the major powers of the world and it is the fourth largest economy of the world in terms of GDP and fifth largest in terms of PPP. Recognized as a major leader in the technology and scientific developments, Germany holds a key position in the affairs of Europe and global business and politics.
